Do I sell a lens separately from its accessories like a center filter?

Sell them both at the same time -- but separately. Depending on the lens and filter, you might get more for the filter.

I think I'd put them in the same ad, so if someone wants both items they can see both straight away.

Hard to do on ebay but you can mention the filter in the lens description and vice versa.

Sell separately, your net will be higher.

I would list the lens and filter as a combination sale, where you have individual pricing for the lens and filter, but the filter would only be individually for sale after the lens has been sold.

The person purchasing the lens would have the option of purchasing the filter, if that person declines the filter, then you can sell the filter with a clear mind.

Some people wishing to purchase that lens maybe aren't fully aware of how that filter could or would be beneficial, so by listing the two together, but separately, would alert them to the fact.

That's a good suggestion, hadn't thought of the "optional" listing. Thanks! At least for here. I usually try forums before eBay. As Mal said, hard to do on eBay.

Is it better to sell with separate prices but in the same ad or in different ads? I have a Nikon 90mm f/4.5 I'm thinking of selling that also has a Schneider center filter that's matches it. (Nikon doesn't make center filters)

I almost forgot that some of these filters go to more than one lens! Gosh... now I need to make sure this doesn't go to a 4x5 lens like a wide angle or something I might buy in the future. lol.

I agree with this:
Ditto the camera and reducing backs, give the camera purchaser first right of refusal on the backs, then sell separately if they don't want them.
Sell lenses individually, again with first right of refusal for the center filter to the lens buyer.

exactly ! center filter NEW from B+W for a Schneider SA ( 65mm ) 20 years ago cost 300 $ ... it's not a cheep date .
