I have had multiple domains and multiple Wordpress sites on Bluehost for many years. They make it fairly easy to setup a wordpress blog. You can also setup email accounts and manage your domains in their CPanel tools. You can also setup subdomains for family/friends and let them pay for their domains if you want to.
Buy your domains and hosting for as long a period as you can afford. ITs cheaper initially.
