Just blew 4 sheets of 8x10 because I forgot to check the focus AFTER stopping down while using an antique convertible lens with a single element.
It's all so slightly fuzzy; bleech!
Remind me I am having fun...please...

We never have time to do it right, but we always seem to have time to do it again...
All right then,
You're having fun.
LF will get easier with practice. But no one who actually does anything is ever free from mistakes.
So I tell myself when I pull the dark slide with the shutter open...
Mark,
Thanks. It just gets to be a bit much sometimes...

Written checklist?...
I know exactly how you feel. Fatigue is often a factor.
I almost always forget bellows extension exposure compensation.
BTW, it is recommended to use a color filter (yellow, orange, red) when using one element of a convertible lens to minimize uncorrected lens aberrations.
But...don't forget the filter factor!
MF can be almost as bad with certain cameras, although the monetary loss is lower.
I recently had a holiday on the coast in N.Wales with a friend.
I took 5 cameras, from a Canon DSLR through to a Gandolfi 5x7"
Mostly this went well. I lost one sheet of 5x7 to having the shutter preview open and pulling out the dark slide.
However a roll I took with the last camera I'd added to the car, a Mamiya Super 23 with the 50mm wide angle, is probably a personal record in terms of the number of errors.
The day was great, crashing waves after a gale the day before, but with sunshine in the right location and the tide out.
The first and biggest problem was that the film ( Rollei Superpan 200 ) had been in the film back for a year. Maybe this was or wasn't the reason, but 6 frames came out with mottling from the backing paper.
The first frame from 2023 wasn't a great subject.
All of the other frames could have been good , however :
I forgot to bring the 50mm wide-angle viewfinder from the holiday home.
So, the framing was guesswork, although I didn't do too badly.
I had forgotten to even bring the rectangular hood for the 50mm from home.
I was shooting the Superpan 200 as IR, but only had the 67mm IR filter with me, the 72mm one for the Mamiya lens was at home.
However my friend had a 77mm IR filter and a couple of step-up rings. However he didn't have a 72mm step-up.
So I had to hold the filter in front of the lens.
Two or three of the frames were badly affected by flare, as I was shooting towards the sun.
While trying to shade the lens from the sun, and hold the IR filter, I got my hand or arm in the corner of the picture three times.
Looking on the bright side, I did :
Get the exposures about right
Adjust the lens for IR focus.
The number of times I've forgotten to stop down after focussing..
