Will was a great guy to many of us.

He was in my area once for a Paul Caponigro talk, and Will and I had a great lunch and afternoon.

We'd mostly kept in touch after he moved south (so he could care for others), and he sold me some of his extra LF gear which I'll probably have for my whole life.

I just found out about Will. I live in East TN just a couple hours south of where Will lived. I got to know will on two fronts, as a pilot and photographer. Will had purchased some Sinar Norma gear from me a few years ago and we had a common friend. When will moved to ET we planned to get out and start making images together. We got together late last year and did some equipment swapping and some often on the phone. I spoke with Will for an hour or so Jan 23rd. I had planned to call him this week.

Very sad. Will was a very kind person and excellent photographer. He will be missed.

So sad to hear this. I had never met him in person but had talked and corresponded with him, and traded equipment and images. RIP Will.

Wow, sorry to hear this. Will was a very interesting guy. The image above was Will in Yosemite circa 2002.

I knew Will for many years, visited him at his house in North Carolina several times. He sure did like the mountains. I had not talked with him for a while.
    He made really good coffee.
    Bye Will...
