I could not find much info about the new CPE-3 online - is it pretty much the same as the CPE-2 Plus?

Cat labs web site states “The CPE3 is an all new machine based on the tried-and-true design of the CPE2+, featuring a stronger motor, improved electronic control boards, a more robust housing and a new style lift.”

Instead of going the way of a Jobo processor with lift and water bath, went with a Stark SST8 Universal Film & Paper Processor. Essentially the same as a CPE-3 but without the lift and tempering bath for the bottles of chemistry. As for a temperature controlled bath for the bottles of chemistry found, actually easily, a JOBO TBE Tempering Box for $200.00 on that auction site. Ended up purchasing a Stark SST8, 115 volt converter, and a JOBO TBE Tempering Box. I posted a review almost a year ago at:

Have been using the Stark SST8 and the Job TBE Tempering box for almost a year now with 100% satisfaction. Sure I don't have a Job Lift to fill and drain the tanks, but I really don't mind manually doing that. Thought I'd add this option to the conversation.
I like the lift.
It's the motors that could stand improvement.
I think I've run mine by hand as often as I have been able to run it with the motor.
EDIT - I am referring to the CPE2+ which was also promoted as having a more robust motor.
