Best Lens Wraps for LF/Board combos?

Opinions on best Lens Wraps for transporting LF lenses on lens boards, please!

    Typically, what's the best size?

I found the F64 brand to be best for my purposes. They are padded, and the size needed would be dictated by the size of the lensboard. My lenses are mounted on Sinar boards that are 5.5" square. I found that 18" and 15" sizes (they are square) work for all my lenses and the focal length can be written on them to identify which lens is inside.

    Thanks for the info, Jerry.

The largest size boards I have are 6x6, but none of the lenses I have (so far) are physically very large. I'll just order a 15" one and go from there...

For 6-inch lens boards I tend to use big lenswraps, like this 18-inch Domke example. It’s not a big deal, but the way I wrap one side gets one layer of protection and the other side gets 4 layers.

OK, I'll get an 18 inch wrap! I only have one lens for the 8x10 now anyway and that should do me fine.

spend a few bucks on a second hand sewing machine and make your own in whatever custom sizes you need.

I like buying from small American vendors when I can. I don't have a lot of his stuff but Stone Photo Gear makes great stuff.

    If it's a small size lens, like a 135mm or a 90mm Angulon, I use a bubble-pack envelope from some package I've recently received .

I have started making "pockets" of the appropriate size for my lenses mounted on boards by sewing two pieces of vinyl cloth together on three sides.
