I have aquired a Voigtlander Apo Lanthar 15cm lens and was wondering what the size of the image circle would be on this lens. The lens is identified as a Linhof and it came with a Linhof Tech lll 4x5.
Thanks
Pat, the Apo-Lanthar 150mm has an angle of view of 53° and an image circle of 149,6mm at infinity. This is good for 9x12cm (3.54"x4.72") with a diagonale of 140mm but to small for 4x5" with a diagonale of 152mm.

I don't know much about specs, but she seems to work just fine at infinity on my 4x5, even with modest movements. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

The Voigtländer coverage numbers for these lenses are for the open lens at f/4.5, so you certainly will gain some coverage by stopping down.
This is a fantastic wide open lens for b&w portraits, hope you enjoy it!
Please also note that at closer focus distances, the image circle increases in size.
Normal portrait distances and 4x5 should not be a problem (assuming no movements).

Thanks for the info all. Looking forward to seeing how this lens performs with B&W in the field.
