I picked up a used Toyo recently and have found some anomolies.
On the photographer's side of the ground glass, a fresnel lens was super glued to the metal holding down the ground glass. It doesn't look like a factory job as the fresnel is undersize and fell out shortly after inspection.
I have a couple of questions. Has anyone seen this before? Also, the Toyo website indicates that their fesnel lens is on the lens side "45AII revolving back includes a precision factory-installedToyo Super-Brite fresnel lens in front of the ground glass". As this is not the case, any guesses as to whether the current ground glass will be at the film plane? (I'll measure to find out and let you know.)
Thanks.
Cheers, Blair
